Design Engineer

Join WETO as a Design Engineer Intern and gain hands-on experience in mechanical design within an engineering project environment.
During the internship, you will support our Engineering team in 3D modelling, 2D technical documentation, and preparation of design materials for real industrial machine components. You will work on practical tasks connected with cocoa and chocolate processing equipment, from technical assumptions and simple sketches to 3D models, drawings, and short technical summaries.
This internship is designed for people who want to develop as mechanical design engineers and learn how engineering work is organized in a growing industrial technology company.
Responsibilities
- Support the design of machine components and technical solutions.
- Prepare and update 2D and 3D technical documentation.
- Work with technical drawings, models, and engineering documentation.
- Participate in simple design tasks: from initial assumptions or sketches to 3D models and drawings
- Prepare short technical summaries of assigned tasks.
Must Have
- Student status, preferably 4th or 5th year of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design.
- Practical knowledge of CAD software, especially Autodesk Inventor
- Good communication skills in a technical work environment.
Nice to have
- First experience with 3D modelling or 2D technical documentation.
- Portfolio with examples of models, drawings, or student projects.
- Interest in industrial machinery, production equipment, or food processing technology.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
