Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

--Remote--

As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience in designing industrial equipment and learn how engineering solutions affect machine performance.

You will support the development of existing designs, prepare technical documentation, and carry out design tasks.

Working directly with the Engineering Manager, you will receive technical guidance and gradually develop the skills needed to design parts and assemblies independently.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design of machine components and technical solutions.
  • Preparing manufacturing and assembly drawings based on 3D models.
  • Updating technical documentation and bills of materials.
  • Supporting the modernisation of existing machines, including verifying dimensions, documentation completeness, and component data.
  • Prepare short technical summaries of assigned tasks.

Must Have

  • A university degree in a technical field or currently being in the final year of study—preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical design.
  • The ability to create CAD models and drawings, including skills gained during your studies.
  • Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and readiness to discuss your own solutions.

Nice to have

  • First work experience with 3D modelling or 2D technical documentation.
  • Portfolio with examples of models, drawings, or student projects.
  • Interest in industrial machinery, production equipment, or food processing technology.

What We Offer

  • Full-time employment and a salary tailored to your skills.
  • Onboarding and ongoing support from the Engineering Manager.
  • Hands-on training in design, technical documentation, and selecting solutions for industrial machinery.
  • Gradually increasing independence and responsibility as your skills develop.
  • The opportunity to work on unique, large-scale projects—our machines are used by the world’s leading companies in the cocoa-processing industry.
  • Financial support for technical courses and training tailored to your role and professional development.
